COK & Washington Freedom Team Up to Host TryVeg Day!

This April marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, and perhaps the single most effective action each of us can take to protect the planet is simply to choose vegetarian foods.

That’s why, in honor of Earth Day, D.C.’s professional women’s soccer team, The Washington Freedom, is teaming up with Compassion Over Killing to host TryVeg Day on Sun, April 18 at the Maryland SoccerPlex!

On this special veg-friendly game day event, the Washington Freedom will be taking on the Atlanta Beat—and the concession stands will feature delicious vegetarian options! Plus, COK will be on hand, staffing an information booth and distributing pro-veg materials explaining how we can fight global warming with our forks.

Tickets for the Washington Freedoms’ TryVeg Day (enter “TryVeg” to purchase tickets) are available for a discounted price of $18 – and a portion of the proceeds from tickets sales (generated through our website) will be automatically donated towards our efforts to further promote vegetarian eating!
