Take Your New Year’s Resolution To Heart: Get Active for Animals in 2010!
As you ring in 2010, consider making your resolution as simple, yet meaningful, as living more compassionately. Each year in the U.S., more than 10 billion animals are raised and killed for us to eat meat, eggs, and dairy products, and each day we can make choices that help bring about positive changes. Here are a few simple ways each of us can resolve to build a kinder world for all animals.
Choose animal-friendly foods!

Each of us can help animals at every meal by choosing from a
variety of meat-, egg-, and dairy-free foods readily available in restaurants and grocery stores everywhere.

Participate in Veg-Friendly Events!
Choosing animal-friendly foods is one of the best ways to help animals—so why not help others make that choice as well? Distributing pro-vegetarian literature is an inexpensive, yet incredibly effective, way to promote compassionate eating choices.
Even leafleting for just 30 minutes each week at your local college campus, busy metro station, or community event reaches out to countless people. You can also leave pro-veg materials at your doctor’s office, health club, or favorite places to shop. Need leaflets to distribute? Check out COK’s pro-vegetarian literature (contact us about bulk/discounted rates).
You can also join COK at one of our events hosted in several cities across the U.S. throughout the month of January:
Host a Feed-In or Vegan Dinner Party!

The best way to win people’s hearts is through their stomachs.
By offering delicious animal-friendly fare, we can show vegetarians-to-be that choosing meat-, egg-, and
dairy-free foods doesn’t mean giving up the tastes we love—it simply means eating the cruelty-free
versions of our favorite foods!
Ask for Vegan Donuts!

After successfully working with Morningstar Farms, Lightlife Foods, and BOCA to begin removing eggs from their products and add vegan options, Compassion Over Killing reached out to Dunkin' Donuts about the suffering endured by hens raised on today’s factory farms.
Despite our efforts, along with thousands of calls, letters, and emails from caring consumers, Dunkin' Donuts is still refusing to take this issue of animal cruelty seriously. That's why we're asking you to contact Dunkin' Donuts today urging the company to starting offering vegan donuts.
