We'll be offering free veggie dogs to 400 people celebrating Independence Day at Pier 39, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

GREEN Vegetarian, BBQ in Tempe, AZ
Looking for something to do on the 4th?  How about a 4th of July Vegan BBQ Fest at GREEN (2240 N. Scottsdale Rd.) from 2 to 9pm.  Ride your bike and get a discount on the fixin’s! Vegan hot dogs, hamburgers, brats and more will be served with homemade potato salad and a roasted garlic corn cobblet.  Top it off with an organic soda and a red, white and blue shortcake!  Proceeds go to the Circle L Ranch Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.

Super Duper Community Picnic, Takoma Park, MD
The Takoma D.C. Neighborhood Association warmly invites you to its 3rd Annual Community Picnic, located in the Takoma Community Center at 4th and Van Buren Streets NW, from 1pm till 4pm (rain or shine). There will be veggie dogs roasting on the grill as well as a potluck, so let’s represent the veggies by bringing along some delicious vegan dishes:

Veggie Dog Feed-In in Seattle, WA
Bring your friends and swing by Action for Animals' information table where they'll be grilling veggie dogs on a portable propane BBQ between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. Volunteers will staff the table, grill dogs, serve customers, and direct pedestrians to the event located at University Way NE, between 42nd and 43rd. At Lindwood Park (from 6-10pm), famous for its pig roasts, we’ll be advocating a more humane and healthful diet. Everyone is welcome to play in the park and enjoy summer in Fargo, as it will be winter again before we know it! What better way to celebrate summer than with veggie dogs?  Depending on the flood situation we can switch park locations.

1st Annual PIG-nic Potluck, Washington, DC
DC Vegan is teaming up with Vegetarian Society of DC for National Veggie Hot Dog Month! Roots Market is generously donating the veggie hot dogs and buns for our first annual PIG-nic-potluck (for the pigs!), and you supply the rest of the delicious VEGAN dishes. Join the Animal Protection and Rescue League (APRL) from 10am-2pm near the San Diego Convention Center Trolley Stop. They will be across the street from Comic-Con, the nation's largest graphic arts convention, passing out pro-vegetarian literature and handing out samples of vegan chili dogs to the thousands of visitors as they exit and enter the trolley to the event!
