Vegan Feed-In
on January 12, 2002

On January 12, 2002, a dozen COK activists held a vegan feed-in at a fast-food restaurant in Northwest D.C. Handing out free vegan burgers along with literature, the activists engaged in conversations with both the fast-food restaurant's patrons as well as passersby about the ethical, environmental, and health benefits of veganism.

The activists also played footage of slaughterhouses and factory farms on COK's TV/VCR. By exposing the violence and horror inflicted on farmed animals, offering free, delicious alternatives to animal products, as well as providing additional information on why people choose to be vegan, COK hopes to introduce veganism to the public in a friendly, non-confrontational manner.
