Tabling with COK at Austin Pride (June 5, 2010)
On Sat., June 5, 2010, volunteers for Compassion Over Killing tabled at the annual Pride Festival in Austin, TX, and it was a great success! The event attracted thousands of people and offered a fantastic opportunity to reach out to a sympathetic audience about the many benefits of choosing vegetarian foods.
COK volunteers distributed hundreds of pro-veg brochures, including our Vegetarian Starter Guide, Easy Vegan Recipes, and newly-printed Vegetarian Guide to Austin. Upon seeing the new Guide, one festival-goer proclaimed, "I've been looking to find more veg-friendly restaurants in town, thanks for this!"
Special thanksĀ to Daniela Nunez, COK's VegAustin Coordinator, and all of our volunteers who helpedĀ make this event a success!
