Veggie Dog Feed-In at the Nationals Park (May 22, 2010)

On Saturday, May 22, 2010, COK volunteers scored a home run for animals by hosting a vegan feed-in at the Nationals Park! As baseball fans of all ages flocked to the stadium to see the Nationals take on the Baltimore Orioles, our volunteers gave out over 100 veggie dogs, thanks to the generous support of VegFund, as well as hundreds of pieces of literature about the benefits of choosing vegetarian foods. Many people who tried the veggie dogs loved them so much that they said they would ask the stadium concession stands to start offering this meat-free option!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to make this event a huge success—especially Brook, COK’s Volunteer Outreach Coordinator who organized this event!
