Vegan Ice Cream Feed-In in Washington, DC (May 21, 2010)
On Friday, May 21, 2010, Compassion Over Killing volunteers cooled down on a hot day by hosting a vegan ice cream feed-in on a busy corner in downtown DC.
Tourists and professionals alike heard the “Free Ice Cream” call and came from all over the downtown area to try the delicious dairy-free delight. It was such a hit! A line quickly formed, and those seeking the sweet treat passed the time by reading through our pro-veg literature. Once they tasted the creamy, vegan peanut butter and jelly ice cream, many proclaimed their fondness of this healthier and more humane version of a summer standard.
Thank you to everyone who made this feed-in a success!
We’d love to have your help at our next feed-in! Please send an email to info@cok.net if you’d like to get involved.
