Tabling at Green In the Circle (April 17, 2010)
On Saturday, April 17, 2010, several Compassion Over Killing volunteers tabled at the first annual Green in the Circle Festival in Washington, DC and the sunny, warm weather brought hundreds of people out to the eco-focused festival.
At the event, we distributed over 800 pieces of literature, including our Eating Sustainably pamphlet that discusses the link between our diet and the environment--and festival-goers were interested to hear how they could help protect the planet simply by choosing vegetarian foods. Many even chose to take immediate action by pledging to go veg for one week as part of Maryland VegWeek!
Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped spread the animals’ message!
