Erik Marcus Presentations in DC
Compassion Over Killing teamed up with local vegetarian groups to host Erik Marcus, author of The Ultimate Vegan Guide and publisher of Vegan.com, at three events in the DC Metro-area. Speaking at the University of Maryland, American University, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Erik reached out to large audiences from college students to the general public to long-time animal activists.
After his presentations about the benefits of choosing vegan food and the importance of advocating for animals, there was a lot of feedback, including: One student told us she was thrilled to hear Erik Marcus speak because she said, “it is the perfect time for me to go vegan and he gave me the push to do it” and a new animal activist told us that Erik’s talk engaged her to do more meaningful work for the animals.
Thank you to Erik Marcus, the Vegetarian Society of DC, VegTerps, Terps for Animal Welfare, and Community for Social Action and Justice for helping organize these events!
