Meatout in Los Angeles: One Weekend, Two Vegan Feed-Ins!

In celebration of Meatout, over 10 Compassion Over Killing volunteers hosted two incredibly  successful feed-ins in Los Angeles in one weekend:  On Sat., March 20, we set up near the Hermosa Beach Pier  and  on Sun., March 21 we were at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market.

Promoting a message of compassion, volunteers dished out free homemade vegan chicken sandwiches—over 200 were given away within 30 minutes— as well as samples of vegan cobblers plus pro-vegetarian literature to the sun-kissed beachgoers and farmers market shoppers.

Throughout the weekend, Southern Californians were eager to learn about the benefits of vegetarian eating and praised COK's efforts to provide free and easy-to-reference resources such as our Vegetarian Starter Guide and Easy Vegan Recipes .

Thank you to everyone in Los Angeles who helped with the feed-ins. It wouldn’t have been a success without you!

We'd love for you to join our next feed-in or leafleting event, whether or not you've volunteered before! If you'd like to get involved, please send us an email at info@cok.net.
