Compassion Over Killing at SXSW in Austin!

On Mar., 17, 19, and20, COK teamed up with Action For Animals and Brooklyn Vegan for a three-day tabling event at SXSW, one of the largest music, technology, and film conventions in the country!

To kick off the event, COK’s VegAustin.com hosted a special SXSW Austin Vegan Drinks event with Lucy the Poodle Production at the Cherrywood Coffee House. And on Fri., March 19 COK and Action for Animals co-hosted a vegan bake sale in honor of Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale! The bake sale was a huge hit and raised over $800 to support Food for Life’s efforts in Haiti!

Even more exiting is that COK debuted our newly created Vegetarian Guide to Austin hot off the presses!  More than 1,500 festival-goers picked up our  convenient Guide, which lists more than 30 veg-friendly eateries and bakeries in and around the Lone Star State’s capital city!
