Dunkin’ Cruelty Feed-In (February 20, 2010)

On Saturday, February 20, 2010, nearly a dozen Compassion Over Killing volunteers dominated the sidewalk in front of a downtown Dunkin’ Donuts to host Washington, D.C.’s first Dunkin’ Cruelty feed-in.

Volunteers gave away over 100 samples of vegan doughnuts and over 300 copies of COK’s new Dunkin’ Exposed flyer to Dunkin’ Donuts customers and passersby. Many people were shocked to learn of the company’s mistreatment of animals and decided to action immediately by signing our Customer Concerns card to Dunkin’ Donuts.

After sampling our vegan doughnuts, many people exclaimed they "taste just like regular doughnuts" and commented that they’d definitely buy a vegan doughnut from Dunkin’ Donuts if it was available.

Thank you to everyone who helped at the feed-in, making it such a successful event! Interested in hosting a Dunkin’ Cruelty feed-in in your city? Want to get involved in the campaign in other ways? Email info@cok.net or call (301)-891-2458 for more information!

Jacob Spendelow and COK’s Campaigns Director Christina Tacoronti make sure that each person who tries a vegan doughnut also gets information about the Dunkin’ Cruelty campaign.
