Dunkin’ Cruelty Feed-In (January 27, 2010)
On Wednesday, Jan. 27th, 2010, Compassion Over Killing teamed up with VegWorcester.com to host our first Dunkin’ Cruelty feed-in!
Seven volunteers braved the cold weather outside Dunkin’ Donuts in downtown Worcester to hand out over 100 free samples of vegan doughnuts, courtesy of Barely Legal Treats, along with COK’s new Dunkin’ Exposed flyer that encourages consumers to ask Dunkin’ Donuts to offer a vegan options.
While out there, we met Dunkin’ customers who were shocked to see images of animal abuse from COK’s undercover investigation inside a Dunkin’ Donuts’ egg-supplier. Several passersby were excited to take part in our efforts to get healthier and more humane choices on Dunkin’s menu, and one person even exclaimed, “These doughnuts are better than Dunkin’s doughnuts!”
