Tabling with COK at the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo (Jan. 16 & 17, 2010)

More than a dozen volunteers joined Compassion Over Killing to host an educational booth at the annual NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo in Washington, D.C. The event attracted 85,000 people—it offered a fantastic opportunity to reach out to others about the benefits of choosing meat-free foods. The Expo even featured a wonderful vegan cooking demo led by Chef Mimi Clark.

At COK’s booth, we teamed up with Wheeler's Frozen Desserts, and dished out hundreds of free samples of delicious vegan ice cream.

We also distributed more than 7,000 pieces of pro-vegetarian materials, spoke with countless people, and collected hundreds of Dunkin' Cruelty comment cards urging Dunkin' Donuts to offer vegan options.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who made the event a huge success!
