The First Austin Vegan Drinks Event (Jan. 7, 2010)
On Thurs., Jan. 7, Compassion Over Killing and VegAustin.com hosted the first Austin Vegan Drinks—and it was a huge success! With Vegan Drinks’ events taking place all across the country, it was about time Austin had its own! In celebration, over 30 people came out for the premiere event at the Ginger Man Pub in downtown Austin.
Throughout the evening compassionate people from all over the city enjoyed drinks (alcoholic and non), vegan pizza from East Side Pies, raffle prizes, and great company. Austin Vegan Drinks also launched its logo competition, asking the public to choose the look of Austin Vegan Drinks. The new logo will be unveiled at the next Austin Vegan Drinks in February--stay tuned for details!
Thank you to everyone who came out for the first Vegan Austin Drinks! A special thanks to Corina at the Ginger Man Pub and Daniela Nunez, VegAustin’s Volunteer Outreach Coordinator, for helping make this event happen!
