COK Benefit at Emily’s Cafe & Desserts in Baltimore, MD! (November 24, 2009)

On Tues., Nov. 24, a wonderful crowd joined us to celebrate the opening of the all-vegan Emily's Café & Desserts and to support COK’s work on behalf of farmed animals.

Set inside a beautiful historic building in Baltimore, Emily’s Café offered the perfect setting for a holiday-inspired celebration. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a savory vegan Thanksgiving buffet that included Tofurky with cranberry sauce, stuffed zucchini, bite-sized sweet potato pie with toasted marshmallow, stuffing, gravy and two delicious pies—apple and pumpkin—topped with rice whipped cream.

A very special thank you to Emily and Paul for hosting such a fantastic event and for donating a portion of the day’s sales to COK!
