Feed-in at the Nationals Baseball Game (August 23, 2009)

On Sunday afternoon August 23, 2009, COK hosted a feed-in at the Nationals Game in Washington, DC. Setting up outside the busy Metro station by the stadium, COK staff and volunteers dished out delicious free veggie dogs along our pro-veg literature. The free food samples were such a hit, they were all gobbled up within 30 minutes. We continued handing out information until the game started and overall distributed over 600 pieces of literature, including our popular Vegetarian Guide to D.C. and Surrounding Areas.

COK's staff and volunteers took turns drawing attention to the free veggie dogs by employing the same marketing strategy used by the stadiums food vendors: shouting.
