Leafleting with COK (August 2009)

Throughout the month of August, COK handed out over 4,000 pieces of pro-veg literature around the D.C.-area! From our Vegetarian Starter Guide to Easy Vegan Recipes to Eating Sustainably to the ever-popular Vegetarian Guide to D.C. and Surrounding Areas, our volunteers blanketed the city with materials to help others transition to a more compassionate diet. Our volunteers were at Metro stations during the rush hour, on the Mall during Screen on the Green, at farmers markets and on campuses greeting students coming back from summer break.

Thank you to the dozens of volunteers who helped us this month! We love seeing new faces, so if you interested in getting active for animals, please send us an email at info@cok.net.

COK's Office Manager, Francesca, hands out pro-veg materials at a busy Metro station.
Even during the fast-paced rush hour, commuters stop to take a leaflet from the smiling COK Outreach Director, Siobhan.
An excited commuter takes a Vegetarian Starter Guide from Krystil, one of our most active volunteers.
Gary, a dedicated COK volunteer, talks about some of the best places to find veg-friendly food in D.C.
