COK Benefit Concert at the Black Cat in D.C. (May 25, 2009)

On Monday, May 25, 2009, COK celebrated Memorial Day with a benefit concert at the Black Cat. Local D.C. bands Mobius Strip, The Jet Age, and The Wax Standard rocked all night for the animals. New faces and old friends enjoyed the great local music and picked up pieces of our literature. Thanks to everyone who came out.

And special thanks to Mobius Strip for putting the benefit together!

Mobius Strip rocked until the end with songs about the Tree That Owns Itself, Vinny Testaverde, and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
The Wax Standard is described as “atmospheric, gritty and poignant.”
The Jet Age played old favorites and some of their newest music.
