Vegan Feed-In: May 4, 2008
To celebrate International Respect for Chickens Day, Compassion
Over Killing hosted a feed-in on Sunday, May 4 at the newly constructed Nationals
Park where the Washington Nationals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2! Baseball
fans sampled 130 pieces of orange "chicken," and 550 pieces of pro-veg
literature were distributed.
Below are some photos from the days event.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our monthly feed-in a huge
success!

With the help of a baseball fan who was inspired by our event, a banner was held outside the stadium entrance attracting people to our free food samples. |

Sports fans of all ages stopped by to taste the orange chicken. |
Volunteers distributed our Vegetarian Guide to D.C. as well as our Vegetarian Starter Guide. |
Hundreds of people took our vegetarian literature on their way to the game. |

After sampling the chicken, several people stopped to read our materials to learn more about vegetarian eating. |
