Vegan Feed-In: April 5, 2008

Compassion Over Killing’s monthly feed-in during April has held on Saturday, April 5 at Southwest Waterfront Park during the Prelude to the Fireworks – a festival of family entertainment prior to the National Cherry Blossom Festival Fireworks Show. The orange "chicken" was so popular with festival-goers that nearly 100 pieces were sampled within 15 minutes! We also distributed over 350 pieces of pro-veg literature.

Below are some photos from the day’s event.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our monthly feed-in a success!

Volunteers held a banner attracting many festival-goers to our free food samples.
The "chicken" was so popular only a few pieces were left by the time this man got to try one.
Volunteers continued to hand out Vegetarian Guides to D.C. and Vegetarian Starter Guides.
Festival-goers read COK's literature while waiting for the events to begin."
While leafleting, volunteers also answered many questions about vegetarian eating.
