Vegan Feed-In: February 10, 2008

On Sunday, February 10, 2008 several volunteers hosted COK's vegan feed-in before the annual Chinese New Year Parade in D.C. Parade-goers eagerly sampled around 80 pieces of orange "chicken," and we distributed over 1,500 pieces of literature at the busy Metro station and along the parade route.

A banner attracted many parade-goers to our free food samples.

Other people were directed to the food by leafleters.

Adults and kids alike were excited to try the orange "chicken."

As people stopped by to sample the food, volunteers handed out pro-veg literature and answered questions about vegetarian eating.

Volunteers handed out COK's Vegetarian Guide to D.C. to crowds of people getting off the Metro.

Volunteers also distributed literature to parade-goers on the busy street corners.
