National Chicken Month—Vegan Feed-In at a KFC in Washington, D.C. September 1, 2007
The chicken industry has declared September to be “National
Chicken Month.” So on September, 1, 2007, several COK activists took this opportunity
to inform others about the industry’s cruel, yet standard, practices and to encourage
them to choose compassion by offering free samples of delicious vegan “chicken”
drumsticks in front of a KFC in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of COK’s Easy Vegan
Recipes booklets, Vegetarian Starter Guide magazines, and
veg-friendly dining guides were also distributed.
Below are some photos from this successful event.
