2nd Annual National (Veggie) Hot Dog Day Feed-In:
July 18, 2007

On Wednesday, July 18, 2007 volunteers met at the Farragut North metro station in downtown D.C. to host COK’s National (Veggie) Hot Dog Day feed-in. Stationed at two bustling street corners, volunteers gave away 100 veggie dogs to passersby, and 700 copies of pro-vegetarian literature including: Pork: Another Cruel Meat, Easy Vegan Recipes and the Vegetarian Guide to Washington, D.C. and Surrounding Areas.

Below are some photos from the day’s events.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make the 2nd annual National (Veggie) Hot Dog Day a huge success!

A banner caught the attention of passersby.
Every veggie hot dog came wrapped in a Pork: Another Cruel Meat flyer that explains the harsh reality of a pig’s life on factory farms.
A hungry lunchtime crowd quickly gathered, eager to sample the delicious veggie hot dogs.
People were anxious to receive their copy of the Vegetarian Guide to Washington, D.C. and Surrounding Areas.
