Vegan Feed-In at a Movie Theatre in Washington, D.C.:
January 6, 2007

On January 6, 2007, a dozen COK volunteers hosted two successful vegetarian feed-ins in Washington, D.C.—one in front of a movie theater showing Charlotte’s Web and another in front of a busy metro station. Altogether, 100 free vegan “pigs” in a blanket were sampled by passersby and more than 500 copies of our Vegetarian Starter Guide and Vegetarian Guide to Washington, D.C. and Surrounding Areas were distributed.

Below are some photos from the day’s events.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make our monthly feed-in a huge hit!

A large banner in front of the movie theater attracted countless people to the feed-in.
Passersby were eager to sample our free vegan “pigs” in a blanket.
The animal-friendly fare was such a hit with kids that several parents asked for the recipe!
Pro-vegetarian literature was distributed to everyone who sampled the food.
Outside a busy metro station, a COK volunteer talks with passersby as they sample vegan “pigs” in a blanket.
