Java Green’s First Vegan Day!

On November 12th, Java Green (1020 19th St., N.W., Wash., D.C., 202-775-8899) had its first-ever Vegan Day and COK fundraiser! Not only did Java Green serve exclusively vegan fare all day, but it also pledged to donate 10 percent of all proceeds to COK from the day.

Java Green’s menu includes vegan ham and cheese sandwiches, tofu and avocado wraps, portabella panini, and about a dozen other great vegan options.

Java Green’s owner reports that it was the busiest day in the store’s history! Thanks to all who came out and supported Java Green’s Vegan Day!

The line was literally out the door during the lunch hour.
