Support COK while enjoying this special yoga event! Buddha B Yoga is generously hosting a karma yoga event to benefit Compassion Over Killing. The workshop includes a 75 minute all-level vinyasa yoga class with an emphasis on awakening compassion toward all sentient beings. Following the practice, there will be vegan snacks, a short information session about COK’s work, and a discussion on animal advocacy.

Join us for this annual event hosted outdoors at the beautiful Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, It’s the areas largest all-vegan and solar-powered celebration of music, the environment, animals, and humanity featuring a food court, cooking demonstrations, speakers, kids’ activities, animal adoption centers, non-profit exhibitors and more. Help us reach out to the eco-conscious attendees about the benefits of vegetarian eating.
COK volunteers are admitted to the event free of charge, and are able to enjoy the festivities before and after their shift.

DC: “Run for the Animals” of Poplar Spring with Team COK!

Join Team COK for Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary’s annual 5k run/1 mile walk on Sun., May 19. Given our great performance last year, Team COK is aiming for first place—and the prized “Pigasus” trophy—in 2013! Although dogs cannot participate in the run, they are more than welcome to come out and join the 1 mile walk. Both the run and walk will happen rain or shine.
