DC: Veggie Hot Dog Feed-in at Nationals Game

Help us hand out free vegan hot dogs to Washington Nationals baseball fans as they enter the stadium to watch their home team face off against the Rockies. We’ll also hand out pro-veg literature such as our Vegetarian Starter Guide and Veg Guide to DC. Past feed-ins at Nationals games have been well-received, so don’t miss this chance to show sports fans how delicious and fun plant-based food can be!

LA: Leafleting at CicLAvia

Help us hand out coupon-packed, pro-veg literature to share our compassionate message with the many Los Angelenos celebrating CicLAvia. During this event, unlike any other, the wonderful streets of LA are free of traffic and safe for the public to enjoy, whether it be on foot, on wheels, or with one’s four-legged friends. This large and fun-filled event is a great opportunity to share our compassionate message, and help people see that the free and safe environment they enjoy should be extended to all animals. Volunteers are free to leaflet at any time during this event.

Help us hand out pro-veg literature to concert-goers at the DC stop of Paul McCartney’s Out There Tour. The concert should attract tens of thousands of fans and McCartney is a vegetarian himself, so we expect to get a great response. Don’t miss this fun opportunity to share the vegetarian message!

NY: COK Speaking at Farm Sanctuary’s Hoe Down

Farm Sanctuary’s New York shelter is home to more than 500 rescued farm animals. And you can spend a weekend with them during the sanctuary’s annual Country Hoe Down. At this fun and educational event, you’ll have the opportunity to hear expert speakers—including COK’s Erica Meier—attend cooking demonstrations, enjoy delicious vegan food, camp, and even barn dance!
