Join Campus Veg at Northern Virginia Community College for a free screening of Vegucated for Meatout! Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, this award-winning documentary follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Vegucated showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time. This event is open to the public.

Join Compassion Over Killing volunteers for a feed-in to celebrate Meatout! We’ll hand out free veggie dog samples to basketball fans before a Washington Wizards game. Join us at COK’s headquarters to help prepare the samples and travel to the game together, or just meet us at the Verizon Center at 5:30 pm to leaflet and serve the food.

WorldFest is Los Angeles’ largest all-vegan and solar-powered celebration including bands; cooking demos; speakers; environmental, humanitarian, and animal rights non-profits; kids’ activities; animal adoption centers; and a delicious, animal-friendly food court. This festival is a great opportunity to educate eco-conscious attendees about the connections between our diet and the environment. Volunteers receive free entry; parking is $5.
