Praise for Veganism: More to Love

Hartford Advocate
June 26, 2008

Many Americans think—as Megan Schlichtig apparently did before interviewing teenage cookbook author Hannah Kaminsky for Tuesday's "Hold the Eggs"—that life without the ingestion of animal products is, if not impossible, at least devoid of all gustatory pleasure.

Not so. Skillfully made, vegan desserts (and entrees, for that matter!) can be every bit as mouthwateringly delicious as their egg-, butter- and milk-laced counterparts. And this delectability comes unsoured by the guilt associated with complicity in animal cruelty.

I applaud the Hartford Advocate for doing its part to broadcast Kaminsky's message that being vegan is a breeze and eating vegan a delight. May the word spread far and wide!
