Spotlight on Vegetarian Dining Is Welcomed
Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007
I was delighted to read Monica Hogan’s article about Antonio’s Café
(“Jamaican café adds Latin and vegan fare,” Jan. 10). The instant popularity of this new vegan menu,
which is loaded with savory mock meat dishes, proves that meat-free dining doesn’t mean giving up the tastes we
love. Rather, it simply means choosing the cruelty-free versions of our favorite foods.
The vegan options at Antonio’s Café are so mouthwatering that it’s being spotlighted as
January’s Feature of the Month on www.VegDC.com, the metro region’s
most comprehensive online guide for the very best in vegetarian dining.
Thanks to a growing number of eateries like Antonio’s Café, choosing healthier and more humane foods
in the nation’s capital is easier than ever.
