More Dining on Vegetarian Fare

I was delighted to read about the many delicious vegetarian dishes available at Asian Bistro in Silver Spring (''Double happiness: Two Asian Bistros, two cuisines," Feb. 15). Polls show that a growing number of restaurant-goers are choosing meat-free meals when dining out, and they're doing so for their health, for the environment and, most often, for the animals.

Luckily for Washingtonians, scores of restaurants in and around the nation's capital are catering to this increased demand by offering a variety of vegetarian options.

Readers can visit VegDC.com for a listing of over 350 vegetarian-friendly eateries, grocery stores, caterers, and bakeries in the area.
