Fall 2009: COK's Pro-Vegetarian Ad Campaign Hits the MTV Airwaves
Since 2004, COK's hard-hitting commercials have encouraged and inspired countless viewers to stand up for animals every time they sit down to eat. Thanks to your support, our 2009 campaign has been perhaps our biggest yet!
"Exploring Your Food" and "A Side of Truth."
This past February, COK's ads aired nationwide on MTV for several straight weeks. We received such positive responses—with letters from viewers, record-breaking visits to TryVeg.com, and skyrocketing orders for our free Vegetarian Starter Guide— that after sharing this with you, you helped us raise much-needed funds to bring our advertising campaign back this fall!
Starting on Oct. 29, our ads once again hit the MTV airwaves in cities from coast to coast.
These powerful ads—"Exploring Your Food" and "A Side of Truth"— will be running for four weeks, offering today's youth a 30-second glimpse of the painful realities kept hidden behind the closed doors of the meat, milk, and egg industries. These ads further direct viewers to our resourceful website, TryVeg.com, where they can learn more and request a free Vegetarian Starter Guide.
By targeting MTV's youthful viewing audience, we're able to get the animals' message directly to those shown by research to be the most receptive to vegetarian eating. What are viewers saying? Read feedback about how our ads are changing people's minds—and food choices.
DONATE TODAY TO HELP BUILD A MORE COMPASSIONATE TOMORROW
Our ability to blanket the MTV airwaves with a message of compassion depends largely on the kindness of our members. Since our campaign began in 2004, it has grown significantly thanks to your help, and we're excited to continually expand upon our efforts, reaching more and more viewers each academic semester.
Your contribution today will help build a more compassionate tomorrow. This fall alone, our ads will be viewed millions of times by MTV's youthful audience in cities nationwide—for just a penny per view. With your help, we can keep this ad campaign going strong in 2010.
