This past Saturday, more than 350 Compassion Over Killing supporters joined us for a fun-filled evening at our annual holiday party in Washington, DC.  During the event, we premiered our video — “COK in 2013: Standing Up for Animals” — highlighting our accomplishments throughout the year.  The video (embedded below) also features Taylor Radig, COK’s courageous undercover investigator who shares her story emphasizing the urgent need to speak out and stand up for animals now.

Attendees also enjoyed the best of our love and hate mail as well as shared laughs with our very special guest comedian and actor Marc Unger.

Between a wonderful silent auction packed with items from animal-friendly companies and artists, an opportunity to meet like-minded advocates, and a delicious vegan buffet, it was a night to remember!

We are so grateful to everyone who celebrated with us, especially our dedicated volunteers who helped ensure the event was a success.

Together, we raised more than $35,000 to fund our life-saving campaigns and investigations. And thanks to our holiday matching campaign, every donation made during our party was doubled — so in all, our donations totaled more than $70,000!

Take a look at photos from the evening  and from our photo booth! Be sure to tag yourself!

Couldn’t make it to the party? There’s plenty of holiday celebration to go around! Now through Dec. 31, with your gift of $100 or more, we’ll send you a free box of decadent all-vegan milk chocolate truffles (made by Sjaak’s) with a special message of compassion. And since this is a December offer, your donation will be be doubled — up to $100,000 — going twice as far for animals!
